ECMS V3

What has happened since V2? In short - A lot! V3 is as you might have guessed a complete reprogrammed version. With all the benefits you would expect from such a massive upgrade.

Version 3 of Evaria Content Management System conforms to W3C.org-validated XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.0 standards, and runs the very site you´re looking at. We´ve also made great efforts having it run with register_globals = off, and auto-generation of more search-friendly URL´s. Site statistics and management have been heavily improved as with security. Release date has not been set, as we want to thoroughly test the system before doing so.

Changes already completed:
  • Complete sitestatistics, including tellafriend stats
  • New newsletter module, with antispam technology
  • Picture uploads in both articles and categories
  • Frontpage editable from admin panel
  • Support for searchengine friendly URL´s
  • Works with register_globals off
  • Works with php_short_tags off
  • Functions and classes trimmed to increase speed

The famous TODO list:
  • comments module - will allow visitors to comment on articles in general.
  • user management - will allow the admin to give publication privileges to trusted members/writers
  • Forum integration - long term vision...

Maybe we'll redesign The Javascript Files as well using the new code. This will only be done for fun and will most likely be done when we get a serious amount of spear time...

When that will be we don't know, but it's on the list :)
